Ever been told you’re ‘too much’? Too loud? Too quiet? Too sensitive? Too emotional? Too pushy? Too dreamy?
Well, what if that ‘too much’ was exactly what made you YOU? And better still, what if your ‘too much’ could be embraced as your special gift to offer the world?
In her book, Rise Sister Rise, Rebecca Campbell talks about harnessing our ‘too much’. Whether we were told we were ‘too much’ of something as children or as adults, we don’t have to let it be our weakness. Instead, we can make this ‘too muchness’ our strength and the unique gift that we can offer to others.
In my work as the Founder of Biddy Tarot, I was told I was ‘too much’. Some of the highly spiritual (and often financially struggling) people said I was ‘too salesy’, upset that I dare charge for my Tarot courses and recommend my own products in my books and emails. And on the flipside, some of the non-Tarot entrepreneurs I met along the way would say I was too ‘woo’, thinking it was weird (and a waste of time) that I would do things like use visualisations to amplify my business success or align my launches with the phases of the moon. It seemed like I was “too much”, whichever way I turned!
But when I really thought about it, I had an important realisation.
What others thought was ‘too much’ was actually my unique gift.
‘Too salesy’ was really my ability to run a business successfully. And ‘too woo’ was my ability to connect with my intuition.
Combined, I realised my gift is being able to blend intuition and strategy and make it my entrepreneurial super power. And now, I show others how to do the same.
So next time you hear someone say, “You’re too much”, listen deeply to the gift they have to share with you, and discover how you can turn it into your strength and your super power.
Much Love,
